Today, I wrote 2384 words long fic, a complete fic, for the Polish LOST ficathon. I did it. It's got manly friendship and slash subtext that is quite visible, as far as subtext goes. And even if the characters are slightly OOC, it's not so much as to make the story bad, in my opinion. And I'm happy with some of the word choices I did in it. And you know what? Writing 2384 word in ONE GO (with short free periods to think a bit/have a snack/check mail/answer an instant messanger message) totally drained me. But it feels unbelievably good, too.

Also, my Mum's nameday cake is good. I'm a baking goddess.

I feel like celebrating.

I know I've been mostly absent on LJ lately, and when I was posting, it was in Polish. I have a good excuse, I swear! I'm taking part in my first ever ficathon. Polish ficathon centred around LOST TV series. And if I may tell you, so far it's being really awesome.

I have to write something connected with a daily prompt. So far I've completed 4/5 (today's story is waiting to be written) and I'm exhausted - I've not been on such a writing schedule ever before - and then there's reading others' stories and commenting - and on a good day, there are ten stories to be read and reviewed. Woo-hoo!

My promised picspam is thus still in the making, but promise, I'm not abandoning it. I'm far too egocentric for that.

oWhat else is going on in my little world? My Mum's nameday is tomorrow, so I'll be baking a cake for her. And I've been given a receipe for bread that I do want to try out. And I've started watching the second season of Doctor Who and decided to stop and leave it to myself for a less busy time, or at least a time when I'll be desperate for some quality tv. Similarly with Carnivale. It's too good to be watched with just half my attention.

I'm re-watching Vernica Mars instead. It's funny to watch initial episodes knowing what I know now. I'm watching them with Mum, btw, and she hates Logan. We're just on episode four, nevertheless. She'll change her mind. Right? :D

And I got myself new icons. :)

Yesterday seemed to be a good day for drabbling, with the sky alight with firebolts and everything... My Internet connection died and I decided to take it as my cue to go to sleep and as I was making my bed I had an idea that wouldn't go and that I was afraid I'd forget by the time it was morning.

So I wrote a drabble at 2 AM today and being told it's postable, I post it indeed. Thanks to dark_vanessa, dedicated to pellamerethiel (because you told me to write it, kind of ;)

I know this being in English is weird, especially as the fandom I write it for is Polish, but - that's how this came to me. So I did not ask questions. It's not me being snobbish. It's me being lazy.

4. We talked about subcultures in cultural studies today. Yay glam rock yay! And surprisingly, it turned out that the girl I sit with knows what yaoi, yuri and fanfiction is. ::jawdrop::

5. Finally, it's Friday, thus recommendations are in order.

Wszystkiego, wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji urodzin, kochana le_mru!! ::ściska mocno:: Najcieplejsze, najserdeczniejsze życzenia. Zaś co do 'prezentu'...

Po pierwsze - le_mru - wiem, że nie jest to konwencjonalny prezent urodzinowy. Za dużo w nim - no cóż, śmierci, a za mało elementów radosnych, tortów, świeczek, alkoholu, takich tam. Ale stawanie się dziewiętnastolatką to sprawa poważna (pamiętam, była jesień...) a poza tym wiesz, że angst is ♥ - no, dobry dla krwiobiegu. A teraz czas, żebym przestała się krygować i przeszła do rzeczy.

A! Zrobiłam okolicznościową ikonkę, ale po namyśle doszłam do wniosku, że jest Ogromnym Spoilerem odcinka 2x21, dlatego nie użyję jej w tym poście, ale polecam spacer do moich obrazków użytkownika. ::kłania się w stronę Nilc::

Wiem, że dużo muszę się jeszcze nauczyć (czy może raczej mogłabym, bo muszę to trochę mocne słowo ;), ale mam po prostu nadzieję, że choć trochę Ci się spodoba.
