Exams, exams and some more exams.

novin_haFinally another entry. Well, why not.
I am mid-exams right now. Finishing a high school is easy in Poland. Passing maturity exams that follow is supposedly easy just as well. Passing them well - now, that is an entirely different question.
The system has changed. This year. My peers and I are the first to ever pass the "New Maturity Exam". My pleasure, entirely.
Not that I would rather have the previous ones. Except for Written Polish, new exams are much better.
I have already written my Written Polish, and have no idea whether I passed well. Because it depends on whether I fit the 'answer key'. Which means - my essay may well be great and earn few points. Good students do well in the new exam. Great, creative students - and I will be honest, I am - was - second best in my class in Polish - get passable grades, most of the time. I do hope to be an exception.
But at least it doesn't make an ounce on difference on my getting admitted to my University of choice. The only thing that matters is my English exam, which was today. And it was pretty disastrous. The Listening Comprehension... I guess they did a search for "Worst Speaking Native Speakers" to read that weather forecast.
My friends claim that probably they thought the mock exam's results were too good (average in my class about 80%, I scored great 97%) so they made the real ones so much more difficult.
Oh. And the other reading comprehension was about Harrison Ford. I don't like him anymore. Not that I did in the first place...
The Written History is yet to happen to me. It's not fair.
On to the good things - I am right now translating great pigwidgeon37's Danse Macabre. Do you know a good Polish word for cringe? One that would be a bit similar to flinch, but not exactly the same? And wouldn't indicate being a coward?
Yeah, I thought so.
Current Novel - A Game of Thrones by G. R. R. Martin. Re-reading it makes me quieter. I mean... there is Tyrion!
Current fanfiction - there was an update of Needfire by Areola and Melissande ;) Will read it today. Or tomorrow, if I can't stop reading about Tyrion. (see above)
