It was late but it finally came yesterday (some three weeks late, actually).

My letter.

Novinha now has the right to call herself a first year University student. English Philology. Wait some five years and you'll see me use immaculate grammar and talk James Joyce.

+1200 applied for 50 places and I am among the Chosen Ones.

I'm so clever it hurts.

And it's a good University, too.

94.3 points and I needed just 85 to get admitted! I'm still in awe how I managed to do that well in my interview, I was sure I had been awful.

Judging by the name, I think it'd go down nice and hot, so that you feel it but don't taste it. There should be a drabble competition to best describe the taste of Firewhiskey. :D

I do hope I'm going to :D I just hope the other people there won't be as big jerks as they seemed to be during the interview... And I mean students...

The nasty creatures were laughing at me because I was reading HP to calm my nerves :P

One of the biggest differences, I found, between University and High School, at least here in America, was the diversity. I went to a very small High School, and conformity was the order of the day. University was much more diverse and differences were not only accepted, they were encouraged. Now granted, I went to University long ago, and far away, so I might not know what I'm talking about.

I'm guessing that the other students you encountered were other incoming freshman. Ignore them and hold out for the sophisticated upperclassmen.
