I am the geek, really.

I read my f-list. It took me approximately two hours. Scary.

I am going to post about my week this evening. For now, I'll just say - wow, Run Wild updated!!! That's such a great surprise. And Caeria updated, too!!!

I mean, there were other updates, but these are something of a 'I've been waiting for so long...'

Caeria's "Pet Project" is awesome SS/HG (almost genfic so far, and it's so good!) and Run Wild's "Winter's Fairy Tale" is HG/SS story that hasn't been updated in 8 months and everyone thought it was abandoned. They are both very, very talented. To be found on www.sycophanthex.com => ashwinder. I recommend both.

Not "But You Alone", but worthy reads, nevertheless. Run Wild uses first person, present tense, and the speaker is Snape... And her Hermione is very realistic.

Oh, I'm almost certain I read the first few chapters of "Pet Project" some time ago and then forgot to follow the updates. I just didn't remember the author's name. The closer to genfic the better because that's pretty much all I care about at the moment (I totally lost my appetite in fanfic). But I'll have a look at the other fic, too - I think I never came across that one.

Hm, I don't read as much ff as I used to, but there is a couple of fics I follow. A good angsty hurt/comfort with decent smut is like comfort food for me ;)

I keep waiting for a new novel-length fic to obsess over. I'd love a huge story about how it's all going to end, following canon from HBP and developing great ideas from there...I didn't quite warm to the whole Horcrux idea yet and am interested in what good authors can do with it aside from turning it into a childish treasure hunt or using it as a super-lame plot device to get to Teh seXXorZ. That's not asking much, is it? :)
