Question One
I know that 'a ship' belongs to these nouns that can be treated as feminine - but is it like with cars, to stress emotional relation to it, or do we always use it with 'she'? In other words, is it possible to refer to a ship as 'it' when it doesn't matter to us, or is it always feminine?
Question Two
Genitive.
I know that in case of classical names ended on 's' - like Archimedes - we only use apostrophe and not apostrophe -s to indicate genitive. How does it work with classical names used nowadays? Like if I called my own child Marcus, or Severus, or Whateverus would I have to use apostrophe -s or just apostrophe? I am sure there are such names being used nowadays, just can't think about any un-potterverse example at the moment.
So yes, I am preparing to a test about nouns ;)
I have just spent some twenty minutes watching MTV and I come to a conclusion nowadays 'being a pop musician' has something to do with the ability to shake one's arse faster than all others. Good I never wanted to be one, I'd be without chances, despite the fact that I fulfill the other criterion - am not able to sing if my life depended on it.
And as to reading Ice&Fire - A Feast for Crows...
I'll cut because this might be considered slightly spoiler-y -
- I am reaching the conclusion that perhaps Jaime/Brienne is the second OTP, after Sansa/Tyrion, of course.
