It becomes tiresome to hear PO referred to as "the liberal party". Apparently, we feel the need to attach some more labels to our pretty shiny parties.
How can you call a party that starsmy beloved Rokita "liberal"? If we stretch the muscles of our imagination we just might call it "conservative-liberal", as senseless as it is. But "liberal"?
I find myself liking Ms Gilowska (Ms "I used to be in PO but they accused me of nepotism so I quit and now PiS asked me to become the Vice-Prime Minister that keeps all the State's money so hell yes!"). Despite the fact that "changing the political orientation is stranger than changing the sexual one". She sounds somewhat reasonable and she has a great point about wasted money. The small problem is, we'll never stop the wasting of money until the government gives their control up to the lower-standing organisations and local powers. NGOs, anyone?
Bon Mot of the Week:
Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz: "We know that zloty is strong. But today, we decide to be stronger."
And just a second ago, Marek Jurek: I warn you that I do have a sense of humour..."
ETA: Oh. My. God.
Apparently matters are getting hot and PiS starts to say it's either a coallition or new election. A new election may very well mean PiS taking everything.
Scary.
And I finished my Martin. Oh, I did. Oh, the dragons, the dragons and Brienne! And Sansa :)

Date: 2006-01-12 05:20 pm (UTC)Actually I think they'd be more likely to let Podrick go... but Brienne is a more important character.
Awww... I am like totally in love with Jaime these days.
I also was sad we didn't get to see more of the Sand Snakes.

Date: 2006-01-12 12:31 pm (UTC)It's a bad word here because it makes no sense. PO could be said to follow neo-liberalism as in, an economic doctrine. But neo-liberalism, monetarism, all that jazz, was also popular with Thatcher's government and geez, were they liberals? Liberal party and liberal opinion on economics is two different things :)
Oh, I think if people knew what the conservative doctrine states, they'd all be conservatists ;) First - Thou shalt not change people to fit your idea. Sate is for the people, not the other way round. All changes should be inflicted slowly and carefully because the results are never certain. Don't fix something that works.
That's conservative doctrine :) That's what being right-wing should bloody mean. That's
my belovedRokita ;)So PO is right-wing-to-the-center-semi-liberal. Not liberal. A difference. Right there. OMG. Now that is strange ;)
