They say that billions watched. I have no idea whether they exaggerate or not, but I was among the said watchers. Via television. I watched Paul with a tear in my eye.
My dearest Polish TV was, of course, terrific in their choice of what to show. So we got loads of rap and such - but not Alicia Keys. Loads of strange rock and country - but not Placebo or The Cure. They showed Shakira. And Madonna. And some American bands no one knows here - but not Sting (or so I think. He might have slipped by while I wasn't watching).
Amazing. And I want Placebo.
Most ofmy fun was from watching the poor TV presenters try to translate while listening to the people speak. They didn't manage :-/. And it's against the law to swear in Polish television (at least until 11 PM) so they censored most of the stuff that was said. Like "And here we will ommit the adjective". Funny.
I am still writing a Ginny/Harry one shot. What's happening to me...
