My proseminar is awesome :D

Today we discussed models of masculinity and femininity in American Beauty. Apart from (and possibly partly due to) the fact that I pretty much disagreed with a lot of what my peers said, I enjoyed it.

But the actual good news is: the lecturer did not set the upper limit of words for the paper we're supposed to write for her proseminar. And this one time I plan to be ruthless, because this pretty much sets it - I will write about Wesley Wyndam-Pryce.

Funny thing is, I really don't love it! I loved discussing it, but I find the idea that I should somehow sympathise with Lester or Rick - whom I found so absolutely disgusting - abhorrent ;)

It felt like one of those very skillful manipulations ;) And I was very much creeped out by the hopeful ending.

As to my essay - yeah, I know! I really want to write this paper :D \o/
