1. Today I slipped on the ice in front of my block of flats. I managed to get a huge bruise on my thigh in addition to a number of small cuts on my palms, which in the moment are somewhat... numb. Just sheer luck I managed to fall away from all the dog droppings people somehow forget to tidy up after their pets. Now that would be so nice.

2. This is a bit of a sore spot for me, because I do own a dog and I admit it's hardly pleasant a task to tidy after him. But it's the owner's duty. The worst thing about Winter passing is that the snow melts and all that filth is still there, whereas in Spring and such it can't accumulate to such a degree.

3. And my arm hurts. And I am poor, poor. And I ate the whole chocolate bar and there is none left and I promised not to buy another. And I feel like chocolate.

Apple it is, then.

4. On the other hand, I am feeling more and more fond of my "Practical English Lessons - Conversations" professor - today I took notice of how he never forgets to praise a student when they get something difficult right. It gives such a boost of self-confidence and makes students feel like learning more. Very thoughtful of him.

5. Polish Parliament is still there, although no one knows what is going to happen tomorrow. Both sides accuse one another of breaking the law. I am afraid PiS might actually be right at this point.

6. At least I am entertained. A circus just for me to watch.

7. I amdit. I am wasting my time here because next week the Hard Season begins and I'll be drowning in tests. Last days of freedom :)

Biedna.

A ten śnieg, lód i psie kupy - znam to.

Ja mam do Jurka mimo wszystko słabość. Ale ja często lubię evil sfrustrowanych i twardoszyich. Takie zboczenie.

Cymański is so so so sick.

Zboczona ;)

*hugs* (but careful ones, since you're probably still sore)

I hope it all stops hurting soon, and you know, hot chocolate doesn't count as chocolate; you're allowed to get some of that. :)

Poor you *comforts*

Strange - I live in the country next to yours and didn't hear a thing about Poland's political troubles before I read your LJ. Do your media take any notice of what's happening here day by day? Probably not...sometimes it's scary how badly informed I am.

My test season also begins next week. I feel your pain.

We did hear an awful lot about the campaign and election, mainly because Poles really have a thing for Schroeder. And not in a positive sense, either. Close relationships between Germany and Russia are a soft spot, and Schroeder/Putin duo scared us quite strongly, so media did talk about it.

Nowadays... that's another source of amusement for me. If Angela makes a trip to USA or Russia, we'll hear about it. We hear that she was of tremendous help during the Brussels UE crisis. And when nothing interesting happens here, the media will say something like "Angela Merkel says that Europe should be united in the matter of X". "Angela Merkel stated that USA should reconsider its opinion on Y". We'll soon reach "Angela Merkel likes blue more than pink."

Polish media like her. Other than that, we merely know You have unemployment, Turkish immigrates and neo-nazis.

Exams, tests... why?

I actually think she might prefer red and peach :)

I can see why you were wary of Schröder and his relations to Putin. The two of them had this whole "We recognize each other as alpha males and meet to do some shoulder-patting" thing going on.

Unemployment, immigrates and neo-nazis...that's more factual information that many Germans have about Poland. Most still think the important facts are that you're stealing our cars and come over here to work illegally :(

Why indeed? At least the first one yesterday went okay. What bugs me is that there's no time to relax - tomorrow's the next test. *sigh*

Oh, that's just what compulsive-media-watchers know. An average Pole knows you speak a strange language, want to take our houses away and aly with Russia to leave us gas-less :)

And have nice cars to take >:>

We speak a strange language? We? WE??? :)

And it's not like the whole gas stuff is doing anything for us - prices go up every few months now. It's January and I think twice every time before heating a room - will I be spending enough time in it to warrant the use of expensive gas?

Yes, totally different. Instead of saying "koń" like any decent human being, you say "Das Pferd" ;)

You see?! You're taking our gas just to spite us, dont even get anything for yourselves thanks to that :) Gardener's dog :)

Because a gardener's dog won't eat the fruit, yet won't let anyone else take it. Love that saying. Polish one, of course, and I am nasty to translate it into English >:)
