... the new icon [livejournal.com profile] le_mru made for me. It is genius. It is wonderful. It is also so wrong that it just must be right.

Inspired by my Dream about Balcerowicz in M jak Miłość (L for Love) soap-opera series. The inscription - "chciałby zagrać w M JAK MIŁOŚĆ" means "would like to play in L FOR LOVE"

I will be offline for the weekend. I'm going home (Yay!) to do a massive washing of my dirty trousers using a real washing machine (double yay!) although I am sure it will break in time for my visit and to spend some quality time with my dearly beloved family (triple Yay!!!). I so miss them, especially my Little Nasty Brother.

Thus, I will not be able to entertain you with my fascinating life, or wonderful political opinions, from Friday Morning to Sunday Afternoon, Greenwich Time Zone.

Do not weep; I will be back. Is that a criminal offence to issue such threats?

PS: I had a dream. In that dream, Leszek Balcerowicz (that evil arrogant politician/economist who saved us all/attempts to destroy our country, pick your own opinion) played in M jak Miłość, aka Soap Opera from Hell. Anyone wants to analyse that?

Nothing gives me such a pleasant boost of energy as watching politics. Sometimes it angers me, sometimes it makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me feel endangered... but it is never boring. Not ever.

Beginning with Kaczyński (Law & Order Justice leader) shouting "You will never govern again!" at his political opponents, going through Tusk (PO leader) likening Kaczyński to Lepper (co-allition partner of Law&Justice and populist party leader), continuing with a special break so that Kaczyński may shout how he was offended by being compared to Lepper, his co-allition partner, getting to Rokita (♥) asking if from then on likening Kaczyński to Lepper is forbidden and ending with Kurski (the one we all hate, dears) asking if Rokita drank from the glass of water because if so he wants another?

What do I need sitcomes for?!

Even the soap opera from hell doesn't entertain me to quite that extent, despite the fact that Evil!Suicidal!Twin's ex-girlfriend (the one that he wanted to kill himself because of) reappeared on screen.

Oh... and they are going to have many, many new commissions of inquiry. Nice touch, that one. They are quite entertaining, too - even Gosiewski, an important Law&Justice MP admitted he wanted to be part of one because it's a great adventure. ::is mindboggled::

As someone suggested - the next investigation should find out why Jagiełło did not make sufficient use of his victory over Teutonic Order in 1410.

Lots of political love,

Novinha

Watching political chat-shows when Jacek Kurski appears is not a good idea - something I ought to have realised long ago. He always, always manages to push my buttons. That such a piece of scum even exist is an insult to humanity.

Yes. You might remember him from my posts about the campaign - he is the "Tusk's father willingly joined Wehrmacht" guy.

And today, he touched another topic I am very, very sensitive about - antisemitism. Or did he?

A long rant follows )

In other news, I got myself this new shiny icon. Just couldn't resist the temptation.

And first episodes of Desperate Housewives? Bree ruled. Totally and utterly.

While Susan sucked.

Or at least that is what you could think, looking at Polish politics right now. Don't get me wrong - I am conservative, catholic & right-wing. But what those morons who claim themselves to be conservative, catholic and right wing are doing right now... Gives me fits.

Media is the sore spot here. PiS /law&justice/ promised a "moral revolution" before the election, and apparently, they meant it.

What does that mean? Oh, it means that, for example, newspapers are going to have "rating". And if they have content unsuitable for children, they won't be sold in shops where you can look into them before buying.

And I am not talking "Hustler" here. I am talking daily newspapers. If there are, for example, graphic photos of a car crash in them.

And the television is not supposed to show films rated as "16+" before 11:30 PM.

Thank you, Government, for treating the nation as a bunch of irresponsible idiots. Thank you for doing the children-raising instead of parents. I really love it how you trust us.

I am not even going to say how abused the first idea could be. How it could easily be used as a way of controlling newspapers. Because clearly, that is impossible and the holier than I PiS would never do that.

PS: Both these are just projects, for now - but the direction this is taking... Free speech, anyone?
